In 2018, representatives of the Brazilian Workers' Center (CTB) participated in a course for training Latin American youth in China. The course was promoted by the World Trade Union Federation (WSF) with the Chinese trade union center ACFTU. In previous years, the CTB had already participated in other events in China, as well as having received ACFTU personnel who visited the Brazilian union. This was the most recent case found in the survey. But in 2014, for example, the CUT (Single Workers Center), the largest union center in Brazil, and the UGT (General Union of Workers) carried out visits to the ACFTU.

Historically speaking, Japanese labor unions like Kokuro—the organization of national railway laborers—were closely aligned with the Japanese Socialist Party, which had strong ties with the CCP. The Association for Sino-Japanese Labor Exchange(日中労働者交流協会)was founded in 1974 with the support of the Japanese Socialist Party to advance labor exchanges between China and Japan.

The Uzbek trade unions have had contacts with 40 trade unions around the world and have regular exchanges with the unions of the CIS. The FTUU has not had relations with the World Federation of Trade Unions (the international trade union centre covering trade unions in former communist countries) for the last four years, and have withdrawn from membership of the GCTU. The FTUU is interested in contacts with Western countries because of the changes in its economic structures and investments by multinational companies. It maintains close links with the ACFTU in China and has contacts with the CGT, France, CGIL, Italy, Turk-Is and Hak-Is in Turkey and Histadrut in Israel.- Link

According to a Wechat article by the Chinese Embassy in Austria, a delegation of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) attended the Austrian Trade Union Federation’s (Österreichischer Gewerkschaftsbund, ÖGB) federal congress in 2018, while the ÖGB visit China in 2019. Lastly, the ACFTU sent the ÖGB a shipment of PPEs, which was handed over by the Chinese ambassador, Li Xiaosi, in May 2020. It should noted that no mention of the ACFTU delegation nor the ÖGB’s visit to China has been found on ÖGB’s website, social medias, as well as in Austrian media. This indicates that the relation between ÖGB and ACFTU is rather shallow and should thus not be overstated.

There are several thousand labor union organizations in Poland and there is a possibility that representatives of some of them have maintained relations and exchanges with the Chinese counterparts, however in the period covered by this report there have been no significant exchanges between the Polish unions and ACFTU, therefore answer NO is given. Most of the major labor unions have negative or skeptic attitude towards CCP and cooperation with the PRC and they voice criticism on the PRC or are involved in actions against to PRC political and economic interests. The major All-Poland Alliance of Trade Unions (OPZZ) has maintained some and exchanges wit the Chinese counterparts. Adam Rogalewski, a former head of the OPZZ international department, currently Policy Officer (Health and Social Services) European Public Service Unions (EPSU) was particularly active in this regard. The intensity of relations weakened last year with no significant exchange in the period covered by this report.

The labour union movement in Zambia has actually clashed with Chinese employers in the past. This is mainly due to poor working conditions in Chinese-run firms, and the inclination by Chinese employers to hire casual labour. On other occasions, workers' union have not endorsed Chinese employment. They have merely argued that almost all big investors and employers in Zambia flout labour laws every now and then

No existen reportes sobre el tema en los últimos años; varias de las centrales de trabajadores como frente unitario de trabajadores por influencia marxista e incluso maoísta, plantean que la RPC reproduce un tipo de imperialismo de corte capitalista.
