The Federations of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan and China held an online meeting focused on cooperation, the exchange of experience between trade union organizations in both countries, and the transfer of humanitarian aid to Kazakh port workers. During the meeting, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the Federation of Trade Unions of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region handed over humanitarian aid in the form of personal protective equipment and basic necessities to their Kazakh colleagues working in border areas.

The Uzbek trade unions have had contacts with 40 trade unions around the world and maintain regular exchanges with unions from the CIS. The FTUU has not had relations with the World Federation of Trade Unions (the international trade union center covering trade unions in former communist countries) for the last four years and has withdrawn from membership in the GCTU. The FTUU is interested in establishing contacts with Western countries due to changes in its economic structures and investments by multinational companies. It maintains close links with the ACFTU in China and has contacts with the CGT in France, CGIL in Italy, Turk-Is and Hak-Is in Turkey, and Histadrut in Israel.

According to a Wechat article by the Chinese Embassy in Austria, a delegation of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) attended the Austrian Trade Union Federation’s (Österreichischer Gewerkschaftsbund, ÖGB) federal congress in 2018, while the ÖGB visited China in 2019. Lastly, the ACFTU sent the ÖGB a shipment of PPEs, which was handed over by then Chinese ambassador, Li Xiaosi, in May 2020. Therefore, this indicator deserves a "Yes" rating. It should be noted that no mention of the ACFTU delegation nor the ÖGB’s visit to China has been found on ÖGB’s website, social medias, as well as in Austrian media. This indicates that the relation between ÖGB and ACFTU is rather shallow and should thus not be overstated. No other acitivities have been reported since.

Technically yes, although the last information on this is from 2007 when a Hungarian delegation of trade union leaders, together with similar leaders from six other Eastern European countries, agreed to intensify their cooperation with ACFTU. It is, therefore, unclear, to what extent this matters today. In any case, technically therefore, this indicator deserves a "Yes" response.

In the official programme of CGTP (one of the two bigger union platforms) regarding 2024-2028 it is stated that "it will give special attention in Asia to the Federation of Trade Unions of China (...)". This linkage is not new (see the example of 2011). To which extent this linkage between one of the Portuguese trade union platforms and its Chinese counterpart is relevant or has an impact remains to be seen. Therefore, this indicator deserves a "Yes" response.

There are long-standing ties between Singapore's umbrella Natonal Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and the ACFTU. Heads of NTUC are senior PAP members like Ng Chee Meng and senior officials like Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office, Desmond Tan. Contact between the NTUC occurs with the ACFTU at local as well as central levels. The NTUC was recently designated as a "Politically Significant Person" under Singapore's Foreign Interference (Countermeasures) Act where it has to report donations from foreign entities as well as income and assets to state authortiies. Such information is, however, not publicly disclosed.

In 2021, ACFTU announced the donation of US$300,000 so that Brazilian trade unions could implement actions against Covid-19. In 2018, representatives of the Brazilian Workers' Center (CTB) participated in a course for training Latin American youth in China. The course was promoted by the World Trade Union Federation (WSF) with the Chinese trade union center ACFTU. In previous years, the CTB had already participated in other events in China, as well as having received ACFTU personnel who visited the Brazilian union. This was the most recent case found in the survey. But in 2014, for example, the CUT (Single Workers Center), the largest union center in Brazil, and the UGT (General Union of Workers) carried out visits to the ACFTU.

Together with the Council for the Promotion of the Peaceful Reunification of China, these groups work to align the diaspora with PRC leadership. In 2019, the Labor-Management Development Foundation, led by Secretary General Lee Jeong-sik, held a "Korea-China Labor Relations Seminar" at the China Labor Relations Academy in Beijing. All activities observed are marginal: the Writers' Union of Romania has sent a delegation to the PRC at the invitation of the China Writers Association in 2018. The National Union of Romanian Employers has also received visits from PRC delegates. The Art Photographers Association of Romania has collaborated on a BRI book project organized by the China Photographers Association and received a visit of Chinese photographers in Romania. However there are few, if any, examples of cooperation between the real labor unions (in industry, services or the public sector) in Romania and China
